The new logo was planned to be announced when Avast and AVG officially merge to protect over 400 million users as one company. Together with the new logo, Avast should present itself with completely new brand identity which defines overall Avast style.

Amoeba, which symbolises community around Avast stays as a symbol also with new logo. Avast Antivirus is well-recognised in many countries around the world and changing its logo completely would be a risky move.
